Credit card reader cleaning cards
The cleaning card is essential to the consistent credit card and debit card reads on your POS Terminal. A credit card has oils and dirt on its surface. With every swipe into your credit card reader these contaminates are transferred into the card reader and onto the magnetic heads. This accumulation of dirt and oils is 80% of the reason why these readers fail. Every time a credit card transaction is manually entered the fees for that transaction are increased by as much as 2%. The increase in fees and the time it takes for an employee to enter the number manually are essentially eliminated for a fraction of the cost with regular preventive maintenance. The use of cleaning cards will prolong the life of the reader.
Ticket Reader cleaning cards
Metro cards or transit tickets use the same magnetic stripe technology as credit cards. These ticket readers are often in areas where environmental pollutants such as brake dust and other city pollutants are at their heaviest. The regular maintaining of these readers is essential to any municipal transit system. New York City Transit, the largest transit authority in the US, uses waffletechnology cards once per day on all their subway MetroCard readers to insure a smoother commute for their patrons.

The cleaning card removes endorsement ink build up from scanner lens covers, check transport rollers and belts. The check is printed just prior to passing the lens and other critical areas of the scanner to make it a legal document. The removal of this ink build up is essential to the clarity of a legal document which could potentially display an erroneous decimal point or worse if not properly maintained. The cleaning card will also remove paper dust and dirt from the check pathways to maintain a clean and working unit.
