Credit card reader cleaning cards
The cleaning card is essential to the consistent credit card and debit card reads on your POS Terminal. A credit card has oils and dirt on its surface. With every swipe into your credit card reader these contaminates are transferred into the card reader and onto the magnetic heads. This accumulation of dirt and oils is 80% of the reason why these readers fail. Every time a credit card transaction is manually entered the fees for that transaction are increased by as much as 2%. The increase in fees and the time it takes for an employee to enter the number manually are essentially eliminated for a fraction of the cost with regular preventive maintenance. The use of cleaning cards will prolong the life of the reader.
Receipt Printer cleaning cards
This cleaning card removes burnt on paper particles that build up on a receipt printer’s thermal print head. This print head minimum temperature is 158 degrees Fahrenheit which will burn foreign material to the print head causing streaks and fading of the printed receipt. It is recommended by thermal printer manufacturers to clean the print head with every change of paper receipt stock. If you are using a Bixolon SRP or SLP Thermal Receipt Printer or Transact Ithaca 8000/8040 Printers be sure to use the products approved for their printers.
Screen Wipe for touch screen monitors, Plasma and LCD screens
The screen wipe contains a wet wipe to remove finger prints and static from the sensitive surfaces of today’s monitors. The dry wipes removes the excess moisture for a clean streak free surface. This product is best used when the monitor or screen is cool. The wipes may also be used on other surfaces such as the plastic casing around the monitors.
Keyboard cleaning swabs
The key swabs is designed to get in between keys on computer keyboards (or keyboards of similar design), calculator keys or to clean around small raised surface keys. This will remove particles that may cause keys to stick when used.
Bill Acceptors cleaning cards
This cleaning card removes dirt and oils from the recessed lenses, transport rollers and belts of bill acceptor devices. The recessed lenses are the most critical component of the bill acceptor as they tell the unit what the denomination of the bank note is. These areas can become like a trash can and accumulate any dust or debris that comes off essentially dirty money. It is imperative to keep these lenses clean for proper operation. Transport belts and rollers are designed to grip the currency and pull it into the equipment. When dirty they will slip causing one side of the currency to travel faster, therefore jamming the bill in the acceptors pathway. Regular preventive maintenance will keep the bill acceptor functioning as designed.
Bag Tag Printer cleaning cards
This cleaning card is essential to maintain the barcode information printed on an airline bag tag affixed to luggage. The bar code containing the destination information of the bag can be read incorrectly if the barcode has imperfections. These imperfections are caused by dirt particles that inhibit the print head from proper contact with the bag tag label stock. This causes erroneous lines to appear breaking the barcode. This is easily remedied if a preventive maintenance program is in place. The cleaning card will, in most cases, remove these contaminates for crisp barcodes again.
ATB Reader cleaning cards
These cleaning cards will clean both the ATB printer and reader to maintain a smooth boarding process. The ATB printer is a thermal printer that prints using very high temperatures causing paper dust and other dirt particles, to literally burn on to the surface of the print head. This burnt on section is now compromised and cannot transfer heat to the paper. The ticket will now have errors on it that may create problems at boarding.
This cleaning card can also be used at ATB reader to clean the lens cover of the scanner inside. Every Boarding pass entered carries with it dirt and dust particles. Over time these contaminates will inhibit the performance of the reader. Preventive maintenance of the reader will keep it functioning as it was designed.
Alcohol Cleaning Wipes
These Presaturated Cleaning Wipes were designed for cleaning any hard surface. Saturated
with 99.7% Isopropyl Alcohol, these wipes remove dirt and debris as well as being useful in
killing germs on surfaces such as doorknobs, office equipment and grocery cart handles.
