This cleaning card will clean both the ATB (Airline Ticket Bag Tag) printer and reader to maintain a smooth boarding process. The ATB printer is a thermal printer that prints using very high temperatures causing paper dust and other dirt particles, to literally burn on to the surface of the print head. This burnt on section is now compromised and cannot transfer heat to the paper. The ticket will now have errors on it that may create problems at boarding.
This cleaning card can also be used in ATB reader to clean the lens cover of the scanner inside. Every Boarding pass entered carries with it dirt and dust particles. Over time, these contaminates will inhibit the performance of the reader. Preventive maintenance of both the ATB printer and the ATB reader will keep it functioning as it was designed.
